Last March, our family had the opportunity to stay at this resort for a weekend and we loved it. Waterpark, indoor arcade and fun galore, there's not much not to love about it. Just 90 minutes away from the Twin Cities, it's the perfect distance for a little family overnight.
The water park was one of the best we'd been too. With a smaller splash pad area that leads to a larger pool area for water basketball and climbing. The lazy river is always one of my favorites. And of course, what makes a water park a water park? Slides! And lots of them.
Another perk of Metropolis Resort was the arcade. Bumper cars, go-karts, mini-bowling, a rock wall and all the games their little hearts can desire.
Metropolis Resort offers free breakfast every day and they also have several bars and restaurants on site so there really is no reason to have to leave.
We are excited to have the opportunity to go again thanks to Metropolis and I am especially excited to be able to partner with Metropolis Resort as they are offering a one night stay with four water park passes to one lucky reader. The water park passes would be good both on the day of check in and check out. {Value of the one night stay and water park passes is $159}

Madison and I could really use a getaway! In our home it is... My parents and Madison and I. And as much as I love my parents, I think M and I could use a little mommy and Madison time. <3

ReplyDeleteI think it is important for every family to get away and have some fun, media free family time! We could use a mini vacation now that the fall schedule started and my husband has been traveling for business more.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, we would love a getaway. Our family has been very busy and we added a little guy to take care of for a while in the mix. Our kids have been amazing with the transition of having a two year old in our home without any notice to them. We would love to share a fun family weekend with him too!!
ReplyDeleteI am a fan and of course I like it!!
With our newness to the school schedule and our change in work schedules we could use a get a way and this place sounds wonderful!

We are expecting a baby next month, and knowing the excitement and busy-ness of a new arrival, we would LOVE to have a family getaway!!! It would be a memorable, fun time to celebrate becoming a family of five!

The fall has been go go go. I would love a weekend away to rest and recover!
ReplyDeleteAnd I like you on facebook!
ReplyDeleteWe could use a get a way because we NEVER GET AWAY! When you have a baby and call those two nights in the hospital a vacation you know it's bad. :)
ReplyDeleteI posted on Facebook about the give a way

ReplyDeleteSounds nice! -Laura Nielsen
ReplyDeleteSounds amazing! Now that I'm working during the day, my husband working nights, and the kiddos in school all day we never see each other. We are talking about going to a hotel/waterpark over MEA but haven't been able to find any nice ones or good deals-this sounds like it takes care of both!

Sob story: My husband donated his kidney to his dad in May. We thought all was well, but a rare blood disorder has damaged the new kidney too and after spending most of the past 5 months in the hospital, my father-in-law is back on dialysis. My hubby has been a trooper through it all, still glad he did it, and still visiting his dad several times a week. He needs some time with his kids and we could all use a weekend without stress!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend get-away...the Metropolis!! Our family would love a weekend away from all the hustle and bustle of School, work, TV and all that Jazz! Fun, Games, swimming Laughter and memories....it's good for the soul!!
ReplyDeleteAfter losing my job late last year due to a round of layoffs. My two young daughters and I could use a fun break. It would be an amazing time.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to get away from the monotony of the school schedule for a night.
ReplyDeleteOur life is very chaotic and a night to relax and have fun, is just what my two kids need! I also liked your page :-)

ReplyDeleteI have two boys and we have been at your resort before. Our favorite is the laser tag! They also loved the big water slides! I have just started a new job and work 2-1015 at night. They attend school and the only time I get to see them is for an hour in the morning when I get them ready for the bus. I was pretty heart broken the other night when my youngest said, "mom, lastnight I was crying a long time because I wanted to see you and you were at work.)
We need a fun getaway to spend some quality time together. The boys and I would love to come visit you guys again!! I will share this on FB as well!
Would love a little family get away! Always on the go.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 kids. I'm home with 2 of them all day and work at night. My mom just started dialysis. My bone spur on my heel is preventing from walking to lose my baby weight. And among other things, I have been feeling kinda stressed out lately. A getaway to relax and get outta dodge would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWell, I finally got a job to help support our fam and now we've lost our health ins, as well as our food benefits, I'm glad we are making enough to stand on our own feet but It sure doesn't feel like it. I've been pulling my hair out trying to find affordable ins. I work nights and my husband works days, but we very rarely get to spend time as a whole fam with our 5 year old son and our 4 year old daughter. We would really appreciate a nice getaway to forget the hassels of real life. Please pick us
ReplyDeleteWow, Metropolis sounds like a fun place for the whole family and we LOVE to have family Fun. My boys and husband would love driving the bumper cars, go-karts, and climbing the rock wall . My daughter and I would spend the whole day at the water park. Going up and down the Slides, and around and around the lazy river. This would be an amazing family fun time at Metropolis.
ReplyDeleteMy family and I could really use a get away! I am a home childcare provider for 12 kids- the youngest one is just 12 weeks old and there are 8 others that are under 5 years old! My house is always full and often has toys everywhere! My own 3 sons never complain about sharing not only their Mom but also their room and toys! They are more than willing to help with the kids when they are home from school and often help with clean up and other necessary tasks. My home is open 55 hours a week and although I love it, we could really use a break!

Our family has NEVER been to a waterpark resort before so I think that is a very good reason we should be chosen to go. :)

I love Metropolis!!! We've stayed there before, and cannot wait to get the opportunity to go again! It is so very amazing how they utilize all of the space to make it so much fun! I want to go back again, soon!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for choosing me,
Arlyce
We haven't gotton away in- well I can't remember when. We have 4 kids 3 y/o and under. With the youngest being 6 months...
ReplyDeleteWe would love to get away and spend a relaxing weekend there!
The Hollands.
I'm a single mother of a 7 year old little boy that loves the water. In the last three weeks, two of my friends passed away, my relationship with a wonderful man ended and one of my best friends moved away. It would be nice to get away and spend some one on one time with my little guy at your cool business! I am slowly trying to figure out how to get back to my once somewhat normal life. Financially there is no way to afford giving my son a gift like this so this getaway could not come at a better time. I'm sure there is someone who has it worse than I do out there right now....but man I would be forever grateful to be able to give this to my son. Plus his Birthday is Jan. 8 and I'm still figuring out how I will have the money to afford that. Being a single mother and full time student isn't always easy...but I know it will be worth it in the end.
ReplyDeleteWe have such fun at the resort when we are able to go. From the waterslides to the lazy river to the family go kart races. Super cool.
ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful hubby and 3 awesome daughters. In addition to my husbands full time job and being a vounteer firefighter and EMT, he went back to school to realize his dream of becoming a police office & recently graduated. He is so busy still working his fulltime job, being on the fire department, volunteering as a police reserve and now another parttime job as a CSO (Community Servie Officer) all in hopes of realizing his dream. We have supported him whole heartedly and are so very very proud of him! He is also the most incredible dad ever, still finding time for his girls and even coaching their softball teams. I would love to surprise him with a get away and some well deserved "downtime"!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how to leave contact info for my above post....I did "like" you on Facebook, so if we were lucky enough to be picked you can contact me through there (Linda Teeters Shaver). Thanks.
ReplyDeletelike on fb - check, need a family vaca - check! it's always hard for all 4 of us to take time away together, this would help us get it done sooner rather than later :)
ReplyDeleteWe are busy, busy, busy with a husband getting his PhD, a kindergartner and a preschooler. I work, my husband works. We are busy and would love to get away as a family to somewhere fun!
ReplyDeleteI already like Simplicity on FB! :)

ReplyDeleteThis seems like a great Water Park Resort! My kids would love it.
ReplyDeleteThis park seems like a fun place for kids! Me and my kids usually go to a water park near us in the summer called the Great Wolf Lodge.
