We loved Metropolis Resort. We spent two nights and we were able to see and do everything (and more!)
The rooms were modern and good sized.
The water park was one of the best we've been too. With a smaller splash pad area that leads to a larger pool area for water basketball and climbing. The lazy river is always one of my favorites. And of course, what makes a water park a water park? Slides! And lots of them.
Four little kid tube slides, a body plunge slide, a large tube slide and then the good old twister slide.
Four year old H could have stayed in the pool area the entire stay. He loved every piece of it.
Another perk of Metropolis is the arcade. Bumper cars, go-karts, mini-bowling, a rock wall and all the games their little hearts can desire. Two year old E was definitely on the young side for this but H quickly got busy playing air hockey and bumper cars.
Metropolis Resort offers free breakfast every day and they also have several bars and restaurants on site so there really is no reason to have to leave. Our first night there H and I shared our favorite chicken alfredo pizza at Monkey in the Middle Pizza and if I could go back just to get the pizza, I would. It was that good.
Overall we had a blast. Our kids were wore out, we had fun chasing and running and relaxing at the end of the day. {Also, I took less than 10 pictures. We were that busy having fun!}
We highly recommend it! Especially to local Minnesotans who want to take a little getaway but don't want to drive too far or be away for too long. Thank you Metropolis for a great time!!
I'm happy to have the opportunity to give away a ONE night stay {standard room with 2 queens) and FOUR water park passes. An extra bonus is $10 Monkey in the Middle Pizza credit. {Eat a chicken alfredo pizza for me, will you?}

We have become water park people! Dayne requests often "I go hotel room" and "I go sunshine pool". He is potty training and we are bribing him with a trip to the pool. An overnight hotel stay and water park would be a total bonus! I'd love to try the Metropolis and feel we got away, but not too far from home!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh and I ever interested. When I saw that you went, I looked it up right away to see everything that they have to offer. And boy does it look like a great time!!
ReplyDeleteMadison and I always need a getaway! Living at home with Gram Papa and Muncle can get a bit crazy. M and I needs a break away for a little Mom and M time :)

I would love to have my hands in water other than that used to clean other people's houses. My two boys would love to jump and play and just get away :-)
ReplyDeleteI myself don't need the getaway, but taking my two little cousins off the hands of their parents for the weekend sure would score brownie points for me (and a great childless weekend for them!) I like to do nice things for my family - and really, an excuse to hang out a water park with great pizza? Sign me up for a weekend of family fun!
ReplyDeletePS. - I've posted on FB and Twitter :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I will admit that I may not NEED a waterpark stay, but I would sure LOVE one!! As a family, we love to get away, and needless to say, to a waterpark is like a little slice of heaven!! SO glad you had fun!!
ReplyDeleteWe need a vacation! A break, a breather, a time to have fun with one another. A time the family of 4 (kiddos aged 2 and almost 5) can make some memories and just be together without the chaos of all the responsibilites. It sounds wonderful!

Oh, I'd love to win this. We had a hotel reservation for Ty's birthday, but he was super sick that day and we even had to cancel his party. :-( It'd be fun to surprise the kids with an overnight vacation.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this...went to our first one in Duluth in Feb...Kids loved it..:) Kali especially could have lived there too like Henry..:)
ReplyDeleteWe are buying a house right now and will definitely need a getaway from the stress of moving and fixing up our new home! All of our extra $$ are going towards the house so a vacation (even a mini one) seems very far off...
ReplyDeleteOh this would be great! Now that I'm working part time it seems like family time is at a premium. This has been a long, long winter and it would be so great for us to get away for a little bit! - Carissa
ReplyDeleteI would like to win this getaway to give to a friend who will be having her 3rd baby this summer and could use a family getaway before the new one arrives!
ReplyDeleteI would love a getaway. We've been all about the house and the move and it would be fun to just have a weekend where we weren't going crazy!
ReplyDeleteOur family would LOVE this getaway...we've never taken the boys to a waterpark yet and I know they would love it! It would be a wonderful break from the craziness and stress of life!

My husband works a lot and we LOVE family time. This sounds like the perfect get a way!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby became the store manager of his store in January, and since then he has been working 50-80 hour weeks. My kids miss him like crazy. It would be nice for them to have a fun time with Daddy.
ReplyDeleteThis would be really nice with budget strings being tightened!
